Mathias Max Herrmann, geboren in Mülheim/Ruhr, ist Schauspieler und Filmemacher, zuletzt im Ensemble des Schauspiel Hannover. Er entwickelt zudem eigene Formate im Bereich Theater, Film und Performance, vor allem mit der von ihm gegründeten Gerd Schneider Gesellschaft.

Mathias Max Herrmann is a filmmaker and actor. He is the founder of the „Gerd Schneider Gesellschaft“, a label for semi-documentary exhibitions and theater performances. He is also co-founder of „Theater im Ballsaal Bonn“ and initiated numerous crossover productions in the fields of theater, film, performance art and installation – amongst others at „Neue Nationalgalerie“ Beriln and at „staatsbankberlin“, „Künstlerhaus Mousonturm“ Frankfurt/Main, „Zentrum Altenberg“ Oberhausen, Staatstheater Hanover. As an actor Mathias is working for film and theater. He is currently working on his first feature film about the German Autobahn, its historical context and its impact on today’s mobility.
